The Long Term Love Affair

For those who are dating or in love at this time of year, Valentine's Day is, (for all intent and purposes), a recognized "holiday". Time to grab a classy clutch of roses and a box of chocolates boys. Let's face it - if your in love your getting a little someth'n someth'n on a regular basis. Good sex is a lot like a gift box of chocolates - you devour the contents with passion and at the end of the assorted tastings you're left wanting more. And if you play your cards right, more is what you will get.

Just so you know, I'm a firm believer in passion for the long haul. Having been with the same man for close to 24 years I can tell you it isn't a cake walk keeping the heat on between the sheets, but it's worth the effort! Sex, weather it's a routine romp session or an unexpected afternoon delight, is essential for relationship bonding as well as your health. If for any reason you or your partner have slowed down in the passion department, don't let it go on for too long without finding out what the problem is. A sudden change in sexual appetite could be a sign of something serious, such as a health issue, or a communication problem you've not clued in on.

In the meantime, enjoy every romp you can squeeze in during the Valentine's weekend ahead. Oh, and ladies, it's okay to just suck all the chocolate off the bonbons - there is no rule that says you have to swallow them too.

Some good advice here Sandra! But let’s make sure the health aspects of regular sex are properly emphasized. Certainly the great discovery that frequent sex dramatically reduces the risk of prostate cancer or other prostate problems is just around the next corner. My mom has made this observation in a mostly non-scientific way, but believes it whole heartedly. Daily sex is important for the health of a man’s prostrate. So keep those creativity juices flowing, and/or those blue pills handy, to help insure a long healthy life for your prostate. My mother is never wrong.

I think your mother is a wise individual, however I question which gender the researchers were who decided that daily sex was imperative to men's health...hmmmm...would they have been a panel of male researchers by any chance????? I've heard chocolate is very good for you too, but I'm afraid my waistline is at odds with that research, funded by the way by Hershey's.

I'm not sure of the gender make-up of any panel, but they would need to be individuals familiar with prostate cancer prevention to validate the hypothesis. :-)

How true. I was not trying to make light of the subject, as it is indeed a serious one. However, men have wanted sex everyday since the dawning of time and now that research has validated it in the form of health awareness, the pressure is on for both genders to get jiggy with it. For those who have no choice but to self medicate in this department, they also now have the research to officially debunk the old quip "stop that, or you'll go blind".

Certainly you must have misspoke yourself. You must have meant twice a day, and since before the beginning of time. Hey… that’s how long headaches have existed. But be that as it may or may not, I was expecting some speculation on cervical or breast cancer prevention. You missed your cue. And isn’t it only a male’s masturbation that can cause blindness, or are females subject to that malady too? :-)
